Who We Are
The CRB program works to strengthen Caribbean communities’ capacity to respond to disasters through climate change adaption (CCA) an a focus on gender equality The Community Resilience Building (CRB) project is implemented in three (3) communities in St Vincent & the Grenadines, they are Buccament, Paget Farm and Overland/Magum.
The idea is to help each community to develop plans such a disaster plan and Resilience plan plus creating a team of trained person who will be able to respond during time of disaster. There are also two other countries participating in this project Belize and Suriname.
This project is made possible through the support of the Government of Canada, and aims to build community resilience to disaster and crises as well as strengthening the cooperation and coordination between National Disaster Offices and local Red Cross Societies.
